Winter holidays in Neustift in the Stubai Valley
Discover the dream-like winter landscape of the Stubai valley. Thanks to our unique glacier skiing area, you are guaranteed a wonderful skiing vacation even during low-snow winters.
Only a couple of metres from the Alpenhotel is the valley station of the Elfer lifts – popular for its skiing, paragliding and (night) tobogganing facilities. The Elfer lifts offers in winter a 8km long tobbogan slope direct until Neustift.
The glacier, the Schlick2000 and the Serles lifts can be reached easily with the ski bus whose stop is only approx. 70 metres from the hotel. The bus runs daily in winter from about every 10-15 minutes from the bus stops in Neustift.

What makes for a successful winter holiday?
The ski resort should have well-prepared, varied slopes, and guaranteed snow is a prerequisite. The Stubai Valley manages to meet all these requirements in a comprehensive and competent manner in the 4 skiing areas. And on top guaranteed snow at the Stubai glacier from october until june, as well as free ski passes for children under 10 years (ID-card required!).
The 4 Stubai Cableways
The largest glacier ski area in Austria is at the end of the Stubai Valley, about 16 km or 30 minutes by (ski) bus from the hotel. Piste map

Here also the Powder Department is stationed, a freeride paradise of highest quality. Similarly, the Snowpark Moreboards Stubai Zoo with a variety of challenges for the Freeskier- and boarders scene.
In the BIG Family Ski Camp trained caregivers looks after the ski kids. The Stubai Glacier was also consistently voted 2009 to 2013 for most family-friendly ski resort in the Alps (ADAC ski guide).
Beginners and sophisticated to draw their swings on natural snow and finest powder snow. The absolute highlight for the really fit is the 10 km long (!) descent from the mountain station Wildspitzbahn (3.210 m) to the valley station (1.750 m).

Directly from the hotel lies approx. 100 meters further the valley station of the Elferlifte Neustift and with the panoramic gondola you'll reach the area of the 2.505 m high Elferspitze. Piste map
The largest walk sundial in the alpine region is because of its architecture and the unique panoramic view definitely worth a visit.
In winter, skiers and snowboarders ride on the 3-runs with natural snow at the ski resort at Neustift. Sledders are pleased with the longest natural toboggan runs of Tyrol (each 8 km long) around the Elfer, while winter hikers enjoy the beautiful snow-covered landscape on the cleared paths.
Paragliding and hang gliding is thanks to the excellent thermal in the area of the Elfer a special experience.

The largest ski area in the front Stubai Valley is surrounded by the impressive Kalkkoegel and about 7 km or 20 minutes (ski) bus from the hotel. Piste map
Slopes for all levels, a speed-run and the height profile measurement "skiline" challenge piste skiers, snowboarders ride in the Free Nature Park, while freeriders find a spectacular deep snow ride on the hillsides off the pistes of the Schlick 2000.
In this family-friendly ski area children are cared for from 3 months. After the active hours are 9 traditional mountain huts and cabins ready for a comfortable end of the skiing day.

In winter there are 6 pistes with 5.7 km of slopes, 4 toboggan runs, 2 tracks and winter hiking trails in the family ski area in the Stubai Valley for winter sports and nature enthusiasts. This cable car is located about 9 km or 23 minutes by (ski) bus from the hotel. Piste map
The 2.717 m high Serles, called by Goethe the high altar of the Alps, is one of the most popular recreation areas near Innsbruck. The cable car at the entrance of the Stubai valley brings tourists and locals in Miedres comfortable uphill for relaxing moments in the nature.
Skiing, sledding and snowshoeing enable entertaining times in the Tyrolean mountains. Or you can just enjoy the magnificent views to Innsbruck and the Karwendel mountains sunbathing on the mountain huts and cabins.

Tips and tricks from the owner
Georg Pfurtscheller, owner of the four-star hotel Tirolerhof in the Stubai valley, is a state-certified skiing, snowboard and cross-country skiing instructor as well as ski tour guide. He always has a tip available for sports enthusiasts!
Use the option of our hotel's own ski rental or rent a toboggan free of charge and test your tobogganing skills on the 8 km natural tobogganing run on the Elfer lift. Enjoy the benefit of being able to book the skiing passes and ski school courses directly in the hotel.
Winter hiking in Stubai
Feeling the fresh snow step by step, past snow-covered trees, inhaling the cold winter air, accompanied by the glittering of thousands of ice crystals - winter and snow shoe hiking are particularly idyllic in the Stubaital. On more than 80 km of groomed winter hiking paths active holiday-makers can let both their eyes and soul wander and find peace.
Warming yourself during a rest in one of the many quaint rest stops of the Stubaital is the perfect end of a tranquil winter hike, eg. the Alpengasthof Schallerhof in Schaller. Experience hiking through the winter-dream scenery in the Stubai valley yourself!
